UMM Cross Country All-conference runners

At a very runner friendly course at NHTI campus, the field was at mercy to Paige Wiechman who finished the 5.5 K race in 22:32. This time was 1 minute and 5 seconds better than the 2nd place runner from Hampshire College. Paige's competitiveness will hopefully allow her to hold onto that "conference champion" title for her entire collegiate career since she is just in her first year at UMM. 

Meagan Norman took 6th place in her best race of the year! Her gritty performance at NHTI earned her all-conference honors & a trip to nationals in Lake Placid, NY. She is looking forward to have the opportunity to represent UMM and compete at nationals on Nov 11th 2011. 

Coach Case is impressed that these two women were driven to get the best out of themselves at the YSCC championship race. He expects both of them to impress everyone at nationals in a couple of weeks. He was also impressed that Hannah Folsom, Joanna Ward, and Shannon Garland all gave such a great effort as the 3rd, 4th, and 5th runners for the Clippers. They, by far, had their best individual times of the year to really push for a team championship, but came up a bit short.
