Lady Clippers "Never Give Up" Attitude pushes them past VT
The Lady Clippers took the court this afternoon to host the Vermont Tech Knights. Vermont Tech came into this game #1 in the West-side of our conference. The Lady Clippers started out the game very strong on both ends of the court. The attitudes were positive and UMM fought hard to take a 20-15 halftime lead. Emma LeGallais had a excellent game scoring 22 points 3 assists and 5 rebounds. Kirsti Wright also chipped in with 11 points rebounds, as she found her shot early. Randi DeWitt, Caroline Proctor, Meagan Cope, danielle Wormell, and Breanna Nicely all contributed and played really hard. Paige Wells led Vermont Tech with 12 points 19 rebounds. The Lady Clippers came out playing hard in the second half. Trailing by as many as 8 points with 8 minutes to go. UMM picked up its energy and as a team came together like never seen before. With great use of timeouts and play calls by Coach Rick Lupo, Emma LeGallais scored the go ahead bucket with 9 seconds remaining to give UMM the 46-44 upset win!

The Clippers will Travel to Unity on Wednesday, the 15th to take on the Unity Rams in another conference showdown at 5pm.
