Unity College vs. UMM

(Unity, ME)  The Clippers opened their season traveling to Unity College on Sunday September 4th. It was a fairly humid day before the start of the game. The clippers were eager to get onto the field as they cruised to a 5-1 victory over Unity. Stefan Zalucky scored the opening goal for UMM with 9:30 in the first half. The clippers got an easy own goal which deflected off a Unity defensive player mid-way through the first half. The Clippers held a 2-0 lead going into the half. Franck Zeba scored in the 51:00 minute to increase the Clippers lead to 3-0. Devon Whitbeck (JR) scored his first goal of the season in the 63:00 minute with a nifty assist from (FR) teammate Tyler Pelletier. (FR) Franck Zeba scored his second goal in the 65:00 minute to increase the Clippers lead to 5-0. Unity scored a late goal to make the final score 5-1 UMM. The Clippers had 29 shots on goal to Unity's 13. Adding 3 key saves was GK Luis Herrera. Great win UMM!
