Kenny Johnson

Kenny Johnson is a well known name among basketball circles in
Maine. In high school Kenny led the Machias High School team
to the 1988 Class D Maine State Championship where he was named to
the all-tournament team. Since that time he has been a
dominant player in men's tournaments and leagues across the
state.
Kenny received his college education at the University of Maine at
Orono. In 1992, he completed his bachelors degree in
Political Science. One year later, he finished a masters
degree in History and in 2002 earned a CAS in Educational
Leadership. Kenny brought his education back to the Machias
area for his professional career. He started as a
teacher at Machias High School and served as head boys basketball
coach from 1998-2001. In 2001, he became an assistant coach
for the Clippers under then head coach Matt Lash. Kenny
served the program for two seasons before taking a break from
coaching. In 2006, current head coach Brac Brady
brought Kenny back to the program as an assistant coach.
Kenny's work with the program has been vital to the success of the
program and helped lead the Clippers to the 2007 regular season
Sunrise Conference Championship.
Kenny currently resides in Marshfield and works as the Curriculum
Coordinator for School Union 102.
