Clippers Run By Seawolves

Machias, ME- The University of Maine at Machias men's basketball team opened the home season with a 90-74 victory over the University of New Brunswick Saint John.  The Clippers jumped out early and established a lead that grew to 21 by halftime.  Coach Brady was pleased with the effort tonight saying,"We played better defense tonight than last week, we shared the ball, and we picked each other up.  Tonight will give us something to build on."

The Clippers had a balanced scoring attack seeing four players reach double figures.  Ivory Sneed 16, Hampton Mack and Floyd Higgins each tallied 14 and Zach Armstrong netted 13.  Mack led the team in rebounds with 10.  The Clipper point guards combined for 12 assists, 8 by David Mendez and 4 by Will Lewis.

The Clippers have 2 scrimmage dates before returning to countable games on Friday, November 11th at Maine Fort Kent.
