Clippers take two from SMCC

Both Clipper Soccer teams took the field against SMCC foe during UMM's Homecoming weekend and came away with key YSCC victories. The Women were on the field first and in a very close game, Emma Parker and Sarah Klein found the back of the net for the Clippers. The Seawolves goalie, Kaylah Abdul had 10 saves while Aisling Farragher-Gemma preserved the shut-out for the Clippers and came up with 4 saves in the net for the Clippers. Madison Simms led the Seawolves with 4 shots. Emma Parker and Anna Mahanor led the Clippers each with 5 shots.

Then it was the Men's turn to take the field. In a hard fought battle, the Clippers were able to find the net twice. Victor Noyola assisted on the first goal by Ahmed Suja and then Haidar Al-Freihy found the back of the net in 15 minutes in to the second half. Tristan Huot preserved the shut out for the Clippers and accumulated 8 saves. The Seawolves were led by Patrick Duddy, who had 8 saves, some at point blank range. Douglas Cloutier led the Seawolves with 4 shots on goal. The Clippers are back in action on Friday in another YSCC match-up on the road against CMCC.
