Brac Brady - Head Coach - 6th Season
Brac Brady came to UM-Machias in the fall of 2005 as the Head Men's
Basketball Coach, Cross Country Coach and Assistant Athletic
Director. Since that time, shift in responsibilities have placed
Brady as the universities Athletic Director in May of 2008 while
continuing to head the men's basketball program. In five seasons
as the head men's basketball coach Brady has led the Clippers to a 83-53 record and a regular season Sunrise Conference Championship in
2007. Brady was named Sunrise Conference Coach of the year in 2008-09 and 2009-10. Brady has also served UM-Machias as an adjunct instructor
in mathematics and as the Director of EEO.
Brady came to UM-Machias from Manatee Community College in Bradenton,
Florida, where he served as head men's basketball coach from
1999-2005. While at Manatee, Brady took a program that had a
winless season and guided it to an 18-win season in 2003-04.
Brady also served as an assistant coach for one season, in 1998-99,
prior to being named head coach at MCC.
In addition to his duties as head men's basketball coach, Brady
assisted in the mathematics department at MCC as an instructional
assistant and was an adjunct physical education instructor from 1998 to
2003. He also served as a mathematics teacher at Bayshore High
School in Bradenton, concurrent with his coaching work at MCC.
A Dean's list student and 1996 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic College
with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Secondary Education,
Brady earned Acedemic All-American honors while a member of the men's
basketball team. He was a three year started for the Sailfish,
and completed his collegiate career with school records for
three-pointers in a game, season, and career. Brady was named
PBAC's rookie athlete of the year in 1994.
Brady received his masters degree in Physical Education and Teacher Education from Florida State University in 1997.
Brady resides in Machias with his wife Bridgitte.
