The Lady Clippers made a strong showing at the Lyndon State (Vermont) Invitational Saturday as they defeated Southern Vermont in straight sets and went on to beat host Lyndon State 3 sets to one.The combination of Stephanie Payton setting for hitter Megan Knowles proved to be a huge difference in both matches. Payton also had a match high twelve service aces against Southern Vermont and Amber Frey recorded seven aces against Lyndon State and totaled ten for the weekend. The Clippers are back on the road Wednesday as they travel to Husson College for a 7 pm match.
