The Lady Clippers Women's Basketball Team had their season come to a close in the Sunrise Conference Final Four on Saturday losing to the University of Maine Fort Kent 57-76 in a game in large part decided at the free throw line. The Clippers found themselves in early foul trouble and played much of the first half with two starters on the bench. They rallied to close within 5 points at 34-39 to end the half.Second half action spelled doom for the Lady Clippers as they were out rebounded by a veteran Fort Kent team and they continued to send their rivals to the charity stripe where they were outscored 31-10 which was more than the final margin.

The young Machias team gained valuable tournament experience with this being their first trip to the final four in recent years. They completed their season with a 16-10 overall record and an 8-4 mark in the Sunrise Conference.
