The Clippers came out defensively, fending off three shots from the Bengals in the first 10 minutes. A penalty kick got Fort Kent got on the board in the 10^th minute when a UMM defender brought down one of their forwards in the box.

Two minutes later the Bengals found the back of the net again when Damion Stone scored on a corner kick. Fort Kent continued to put pressure on the Clippers, but the Clippers also had a few chances to get on the scoreboard.

In the 16^th minute, Pablo Salas forced Bengals goalkeeper Giovani Sinclair to make an incredible diving save when he headed a cross from Greg Dawson toward the net. In the last minute of the first half Greg Dawson beat the Bengals defense down the right side of the field and blasted a shot past Sinclair which hit off the post.

The Bengals added their third goal shortly in the second half when Andre Anderson knocked the ball out of goalkeeper Kyle Lancaster's hands and ran the ball into the net. The Bengals outshot the Clippers 19-5. Clippers goalkeeper Kyle Lancaster had five saves on the day and Bengals goalkeeper Giovani Sinclair had three saves.
