Sarah Blankenship, an Illinois native, has committed to the Lady Clipper Volleyball Program and will bring outstanding athleticism and height to the team as a 5' 11" middle hitter. Sarah played both high school volleyball and for the club volleyball team Rolling Thunder and has been a dominating force on those teams. She went to the University of
Hawaii as a freshman, majoring in Marine Biology, and is transferring to Maine Machias to continue her studies.
Blankenship's other interests include tennis, baton, ice skating, rock climbing, and fencing. She joins a much expanded roster of talented recruits as the Lady Clippers look to challenge for the conference championship. Practice begins August 26th with the season opening as the Lady Clippers travel to Maine Maritime Academy on September 5th.
