The University of Maine at Machias men's basketball program signed Calais High School guard Jordan Leeman to a letter of intent. Leeman, which averaged 17 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds this season, will join the Clippers program that is coming off of a 20-8 season in 2008-09. 

Clipper Coach Brac Brady is very excited about Leeman joining the program, "Jordan brings with him a winning attitude to the program. All he has done is win, while at Calais he has won Eastern Maine Championships (06, 07 ,08 ,09) and State Championships (06, 07, 09). Besides winning, Jordan has an excellent work ethic and has shown leadership ability. I look forward to seeing him develop over the next four years."

Along with winning state championships, Jordan has been recognized as a Downeast Athletic Conference All-Star, Maine State Tournament All-Tourney Team, and a McDonald Senior All-Star participant.  Jordan will begin classes in Machias in the Fall and major in Business.
